I've decided that since I'm a poor college student, I should start taking commissions. Now, right now is the beginning of the dreaded finals season, so if you ask for anything now I'll likely not get started on it until Christmas break, which starts whenever I finish my last exam.
THE QUESTIONS I KNOW YOU'LL ASK!!
What exactly can I ask you to do?
Well, anything 2-dimensional really, pretty much any size.
~logo design (out of which I plan on making the large part of a career)
~character design
~paintings (acrylic, mixed media)
~photography* (of whatever, really)
*If you want portraits done, I ask that you live in or near Boone, NC, or are willing to travel there. I can try to work out arrangements for really long distances. Unless you are willing to travel all the way here for it, please no out-of-state requests (except maybe eastern TN).
So, how much is this gonna cost me?
That depends on a couple things.
~how much the materials cost me
~how difficult it is to accomplish
~how long it takes (I'm not going to take forever just to get more money, that's a terrible practice.)
Something on canvas is going to cost more than something on paper (unless it's really fancy, expensive paper, then that might change), and something I have to have a hard copy of is going to cost more than something I can scan into Photoshop, edit, and e-mail to you.
How long will it take for me to get my piece?
Depends on how much I have backed up (school work and commissions), how big your project is, how I have to send it to you, and when you need it. Bad times to ask for something you need in a hurry:
~final exams (early December, late April/early May)
~family holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas*
Best ways to get things done when you need them:
~put in your request at least a week farther in advance than you think you need to, stuff comes up
~be fairly specific with what exactly you want, unless you don't have anything very specific in mind
~for non-electronic things, allow time for shipping or, if you so desire, pick-up (sorry, I don't have a car of my own so unless you live along an AppalCart route I can't do delivery)
*If you want stuff done for Thanksgiving or Christmas or something, put in your request well in advance.
How do I send you a request?
Quite easily! Just send me a message. MySpace people: MySpace message, deviantART people: note me!
Any other questions, feel free to send me a message, a note, or a comment!
